3mg is given intravenously every 3 month over a period of 15 to 30 seconds. Patients are advised to take calcium and vitamin D supplementally. If the medication is forgotten on the regular of administration, inject it as soon as possible, and take regular dosing every 3 months thereafter. Patients with liver disease No dose adjustment is required. Patients with kidney failure Patients with mild or moderate kidney failure with serum creatinine below 200 µmol/L (2.3 mg/dL) or creatinine clearance above 30 ml/min do not require dose adjustment, and patients with serum creatinine exceeding 200 µmol/L (2.3 mg/dL) or with a creatinine clearance of less than 30 ml/min, clinical experience is not sufficient and administration of the drug is not recommended. Elderly No dose adjustment is required. Children and Adolescents Efficacy and safety of children under 18 years of age have not been established.
