Efficacy & Effectiveness

1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive esophagitis - Long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of reflux esophagitis - Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis 2. Combination antibiotic therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori - Treatment of Helicobacter pylori positive duodenal ulcer - Prevention of recurrence of Helicobacter pylori positive patients with peptic ulcer 3. Short-term treatment of upper gastrointestinal complaints (pain, discomfort, burning) related to administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic (COX-2 non-selective, selective) 4. Patients who need continuous administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - Treatment of gastric ulcers associated with administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - Prevention of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer related to administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs 5. Treatment of Zolinger-Elison Syndrome 6. Maintenance therapy after induction of rebleeding due to gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer by intravenous injection

Administration & Dosage

1. Adults 1) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40mg is administered once a day for 4 weeks. If the esophagitis is untreated or the symptoms persist, take another 4 weeks. - Long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of esophagitis patients: 20mg once a day - Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux without esophagitis: · 20 mg once a day. If symptoms are not controlled even after 4 weeks, additional treatment is required. · If symptoms are relieved, subsequent symptoms are controlled by administering 20mg once a day. · administer 20mg once a day whenever necessary. It is not recommended to administer nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs whenever necessary to control symptoms in patients who are at high risk of developing gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. 2) Combination antibiotic therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori - administer twice daily for 7 days in combination with 1 g of amoxicillin and 500 mg of clarithromycin. 3) Short-term treatment of upper gastrointestinal complaints (pain, discomfort, burning) related to administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic (COX-2 non-selective, selective) - 20mg once a day. If symptoms are not relieved even after 4 weeks, additional treatment is required. No clinical tests exceeding 4 weeks has been done. 4) Patients who need continuous administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - Treatment of gastric ulcers associated with administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs : 20mg once a day for 4~8 weeks - Prevention of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer related to administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs : 20mg once a day 5) Treatment of Zolinger-Elison Syndrome - The recommended first dose is 40 mg twice daily. Subsequent doses should be adjusted for each patient, and treatment should be continued while symptoms persist. According to clinical data, most patients can be adjusted at a dose of 80 to 160mg a day. Doses of 80mg or more a day should be divided into two times a day. 6) Maintenance therapy after induction of rebleeding due to gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer by intravenous injection - After induction of rebleeding due to gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer by intravenous injection, 40mg is administered once a day for 4 weeks. 2. Children over the age of 12 1) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40mg is administered once a day for 4 weeks. If the esophagitis is untreated or the symptoms persist, take another 4 weeks. - Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux without esophagitis: · 20 mg once a day. Children under the age of 12 - The drug has never been administered to children under the age of 12. 3. Patients with kidney failure - There is no need to adjust the dose. Since there are not many cases of administration to severe patients with kidney failure, it should be administered carefully. 4. Patients with liver disease - There is no need to adjust the dose in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment. For patients with severe hepatic impairment, the dose of the 20 mg should not be exceeded. 5. Elderly - There is no need to adjust the dose.
