1. Adult Regardless of meals, this drug is administered 40mg or 80mg once a day. Since this drug works very quickly, serum uric acid levels are retested after 2 weeks. The therapeutic goal is to reduce serum uric acid levels below 6 mg/dL (357 μmol/L). 2. Patients with kidney failure Dosage adjustment is not necessary in patients with mild and moderate renal impairment. In patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min), the safety and efficacy has not been sufficiently evaluated. 3. Patients with liver disease No special dose adjustment is required in patients with mild and moderate hepatic impairment. Limited information is available for patients with moderate hepatic impairment, and efficacy and safety of the drug in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child Pugh grade C) has not been studied.
